About my photos.

"Growing up my family would always go out of their way to visit natural places, whether that be hiking through an overgrown forest, or walking down the beaches at our family cabin. I think this gave me an ever growing appreciation for all things natural, which I believe is reflected in my photography. In contrast to that, I also have a fondness for the less natural things in our world, from the tangles of cables surrounding my old CRT Tv to the graveyard that sits on the lake near my house, with dates of birth spanning back to the 1800s, Both of which I have photographed thoroughly. But as both of these relate to more concrete objects in our world, the photos I'm most proud of draw from the world of art outside of photography, from the surreal films of David Lynch to the Heta Uma art style showcased in Nekojiru and Goro Maganzine. This more abstract, less structured, less limited approach to art has always captivated me. The idea that any person with enough creativity can pick up a pencil or a camera and make art, even if it doesn't meet all the industry definitions of good art appeals to me in a way that I can barely put into words. Some of my favorite photos that I've taken break most rules of photography, Harsh lighting, cluttered frames, heavy editing, and abstraction to the highest degree possible, all aspects that would be deemed bad by traditional standards. Those photos are the ones that I'm always the most proud of." - Artist and coder of LamerZone
